Why I joined my Profession - Advocate
To heal I thought, people bodies, minds and spirits,
It didn't matter which, just one of the three,
And the healing of the other two would surely follow, he believed.
But I became an advocate and realised that I loved it.
Though clients and State engaged him,
As the Pharaohs employed the slaves in Egypt
To lift and measure stones to build their silent tombs
Crowded courtrooms... are so unlike sterile medical laboratories,
Nor conference rooms, much resembles
A vaulted concert hall, or
The polished ceilings of an art museum
He did manage to save enough cash
To buy a printer and a computer
One, two, three dreams you are out!
And who is the ultimate Arbitrator - FATE
Yes !
I am the judge,
You have no choice to grudge.
You have full right of being heard,
You can reason out, like a shooting bird.
You dont hear, to what I say,
You have not read your brief, and the price you will have to pay.
You see, I have heard you at length, your arguments are hollow
I find no substance in your case dismissed reasons to follow.
Next case !
