Hon'ble Justice S.P. Barucha, the Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice K.T. Thomas, Honble Judges of Supreme Court of India, Attorney General of India, Ladies and Gentlemen.
On behalf of the members of Advocate-on-Record Association I thank you all for being with us on this evening.
In this imperfect legal setting we except judges to clear their endless dockets, uphold the Rule of Law, and yet not utterly disregard our need for the discretionary justice of Plato's Philosopher king. Judges must be sometimes cautious and sometimes bold. Judges must respect both the traditions of the past and the convenience of the present. Judges must reconcile liberty and authority, the whole and its parts, the letter and the spirit.
Justice Thomas has been a great judge who expressed himself totally, articulating the final incidence of the successive efforts towards justice.
Thank you all once again for being with us this evening.
