Think, Reflect and Act - 2
Q. What stops the development of an individual?
OR
Q. Why is an individual unable to develop?
OR
Q. What will somebody do, to stop the development of an individual?
Ans. The answer is simple and obvious but still beyond comprehension for we are so much involved and are continuously acting differently. An individual is unable to develop because of his inability to concentrate and apply his energies in understanding and/or working for the situation he is in and for constructive and developmental activities. He continuously dissipates his physical, emotional and intellectual energies in other fields of action. We find ourselves interested/involved in/thinking of everything else except the work in hand or our objectives.
The reasons can be many or a combination of many factors:-
1. Fight with his family, friends or other beings litigation.
2. Discouraged persistently, his work spoiled or he is told that he is incompetent.
3. He is constantly shown his darker side of life, like he is not social, he is unpredictable, he forgets things, he has bad luck, he will always remain poor etc.
4. He goes out for shopping, movie, drink or other forms of entertainments and his desires are exploited.
5. He is granted charity (gifts, loans, subsidy) he gets used to unearned rewards.
6. He is not exposed to true knowledge, latest developments and technologies.
7. If he still works and develops, he is not give due recognition and encouragement, recognition and award is given to his junior or to an inferior, who may have been able to manipulate the award.
What is true for an individual, is true for a family, for an establishment, for a nation, for humanism. We all are unconsciously or consciously stopping our own children, husband/wife, relatives, friends, employees, beings and nation to develop.
